4 culinary proposals
The Cooking Labs participants explored ways to negotiate and choose a single menu that would satisfy everyone's tastes. The objective was to empower inhabitants of Medellín and immigrants in strengthening tools for dialogue, through the recognition of common symbolic elements in the kitchen.
Background
This proposal is inspired by the work of the artist Adriana Ramírez "Siguientescenas", which invites "to sit down at the table and share with people who have changed their paradigms of life or who have different perspectives on the same subject".
The participants of the Kitchen Laboratories, as in Ramírez's work, explored ways of negotiating and choosing a single menu under the premise we all eat everything and we are all satisfied. The kitchen thus becomes a space for encounter, conflict transformation and intercultural dialogue.
