The last march

.

The first meeting with the FARC group in Román Ruíz's ETCR was through the project of the artist Ivo Aichenbaum (Arg.) Who was making a series of documentary films about countries in post-conflict situations. As a result of this project Ivo, and Jhon Martinez, one of the ex-combatants together produced a documentary video using Jhon's photographic archive and narration under the direction of Ivo to produce a film that gives a glimpse of the emotions and relationships they suggested in the process of surrendering arms and assuming a life light years from the life they had lived in the armed conflict.

Resistance in unit

.

As a way to support the reintegration of ex-combatants, their productive projects and their internal and external communications, on April 26, 27 and 28, 2019, a photography, video and screen printing workshop was held for the communications team of the FARC party within the framework of the second cadre school in Antioquia. It was carried out under the coordination of the Casa Tres Patios Foundation, in collaboration with the artists Amélie Cabocel, Erica Thomas, Roger Peet and Álvaro Ortiz. The objective was to explore means and ways of communicating messages and ideas in a concrete, effective and powerful way, experimenting with techniques such as photography, screen printing and video. The results of these 3 days of committed and arduous work are presented below for further consultation and use

Archive footage

.

The exhibition "Archive material" was part of the seminar "Urgent questions: causes, effects and possibilities of the conflict in Colombia", held from October 10 to 12, 2018 at Casa Tres Patios. It was conceived as a pedagogical space organized in an effort to understand the historical meaning of the events that have marked the destiny of our society.

.

Based on photographs, illustrations, publications and videos, the exhibition offers a look at the historical events that have marked the course of our society, from the records, research and experiences of the guests who accompanied us to reflect on the knowledge about power and peace:

Marta Villa, director of the Region Corporation.

Diana Orozco, cook facilitator of food safety processes.

Deisy Chavarría, education coordinator of the ETCR of Santa Lucía, Ituango.

Camilo Laverde, legal representative and advisor to the ETCR of Santa Lucia.

Mauricio Montoya, researcher and coordinator of the book "100 questions and answers to understand the Colombian conflict".

James Granada, researcher in community organizations and forced displacement.

.
Also, "Archive Material" counted with the participation of Center Soleil D'afrique, from Mali (Africa), as part of the "Translocal Solidarity" project, a platform to share information about the struggles in different regions of the world and the mechanisms that they have been and are being used to survive, maintain and build communities within these contexts. This project consists of small and large gestures of solidarity between artists, activists and other involved and interested groups and individuals.

.
Center Soleil D'afrique is an organization dedicated to providing young artists with the opportunity to improve their knowledge, creative abilities, and deliberate on social and traditional limitations, to promote their artistic and social development nationally and internationally. They are partners of Casa Tres Patios in the Arts Collaboratory, a global ecosystem interested in expanding artistic and curatorial practices oriented to social change.
